August 1, 2016 in Blog Series: Subtracting The Pounds

I saw this quote as I was scrolling through twitter from the account @Disneywords and it made me not only really happy but to think over a lot of things. I think the main reason why I always ended up quitting my diets/weight loss journeys before was because I didn’t believe in myself at all.

Well, I DO believe in myself now and I won’t let anything change that. Hannah, you can do this. You, wonderful reader, you can do this! Believe in yourself, believe and you will achieve.

Getting Help

July 27, 2016 in M&F

This is sort of a sensitive subject for me to write but, if you don’t know I suffer from Depression, Anxiety, and Panic attacks; I also suffer from a lot of trauma that has happened in my life. Lately, everything has been worse than they ever have before (I thought it personally couldn’t get worse but, was proven wrong) and decided to get help.  My first session was yesterday  (July 27th, 2016) and I basically broke down as we talked about my issues and what not and I really dread crying in front of anyone but afterwards for a little bit, I felt a bit better.  I o that I can resolve my issues and become a lot happier with my life and with myself through therapy.

Before I left, my therapist gave me a link to a site that offer free workbooks for self-esteem, depression and so forth that take you through different steps to help you to better understand your issues and to help them. I have yet to go through them though I am going to this week, if you wish for me to make a post about them please let me know either in the comments below or on twitter-@DreamsPrisoned.

I am happy to introduce you all to a brand new blog series on my blog: “Subtracting The Pounds” which will begin on July 29th, 2016!

What is  Subtracting The Pounds?

Good question! Subtracting The Pounds will take all of you with me on my weight loss journey through all the sweating, all the whining, all the struggles, through everything. I will also be starting a twitter hashtag (#stpwhannah) which stands for ‘Subtracting the Pounds With Hannah’. My hope is for this hashtag to bring people together. You can share your progress, your tips, questions, and so forth.

How Will This Series Work?

Every Friday, I will be posting my food and workout diary entries.

Every Monday, I will be posting 1-2 motivational quotes.

And I’m still planning and working on this series…

I have a few other ideas but I’m not sure if I’m going to add them or how if I do decide to put them in. My ideas are:

Tips every Wednesday and Thursday or just Wednesday.

Guest post of people’s weight loss stories.

Guest post of other people’s tips/tricks.

What are your thoughts about this series? What are a few things you like to see when it comes to reading about fitness/weight loss?

Disclaimer: I am in no way a doctor or personal trainer. Everything posted is based off my personal experiences, what works for me, and even small advice from my own family doctor!

Guest Post: Catalina Gia Suki

July 22, 2016 in Blog Series: Guest Posts

Hi, Guys! I’m Catalina Gia Suki but everyone just calls me Kiki. I’m the little fur ball licking my mama’s face in the photo above. No, I am not a chocolate lab (that everyone mistakes me for); I’m actually a Weimaraner. I was born on April 28th of 2015 which makes me one-I know, I’m such a big girl but I will always be mama’s little baby girl. I am energetic, hard-headed, Intelligent (when I want to be) and very, very, spoiled.

I really love my mom. I love her so much I refuse to let her go anywhere without me and if she doesn’t take me then I throw a complete fit but sometimes I’m okay with that because she brings me back delicious snacks or fun, squeaky toys! And, if she doesn’t then I take her shoes and make her chase me until I’m too tired (HA! Take that mom).

I LOVE food! My utmost favorite foods are chicken, fruit loops and whatever my mom is eating while I really dislike hamburger meat and milk, YUCK! I also really love getting snacks and sometimes try to trick my grandma into giving me some when I do nothing, MWAHAHA. I also love drinking water. Though I have a really bad habit of holding it in my mouth until it leaks everywhere, making a complete mess.

I’m still young and learning new things every day but I have two wonderful and loving teachers who put up with me no matter what! And spoils me like no other.

I am happy to say that I am one lucky pup.

What’s In My Bag ; July 2016

I’ve been wanting to make this post for awhile now and I’m finally able to get it done and to share it with you all so, I hope you all enjoy!

Let’s begin with the bag itself. My bag is the Eva Shopper in the color White and Black from the Jennifer Lopez line; I purchased this bag online at Kohls for $49.50 (original price: $99.00) but when I went to get the link for this post, I couldn’t find it so I do apologize for that. Note: They have two other Eva bags that are similar and you can find them here and here.

I love this bag because it’s really big and has a lot of space/compartments. On the front of the bag, there are two zippers; These compartments are big/deep than most which made me really happy. On the back, there’s one long zipper and this pocket is another one that is very big and goes very deep.

Now, let’s get into what’s IN my bag!

Inside the front two pockets, I carry:

Tissues: I got these at Five Below (thought they’d be cupcake scented by they’re not) because you never know when you need to blow your nose or just need to wipe something off/away. Battery Charger: I got this a Verizon when I purchased my iPhone 6 plus but have never used it. I keep in my purse because I never know when I WILL actually need it. Very handy and important.
Hair Ties: I am constantly looking for hair ties while I’m out but never have them so I just shoved a few inside my bag. Anixety Medication: I often get panic attacks while I’m out so I keep these in here in case they’re needed. Please note that you must carry all medication in their prescription bottles!
Gum: Who doesn’t have gum in their purse? It’s always good to have! Inhaler: I do have asthma but not badly but I still like to keep this in my purse in case I were to ever have an asthma attack.
Candy/Mints: These are mostly for my mom as she loves to suck on them. Especially when we’re out. Deoderant: I mainly have this is here for when I go to the gym but lately, with the heat I like to carry it with me.

In the back pocket, I just keep my keys in there. On my keys I have (Note: I have a Hello Kitty lanyard which I purchased from Walmart):

Gym Card: I keep my gym membership card on here so when I go in I can just scan and hang them up on the key rack they have. “Spoiled” Heart Keychain: I think they had this at Walmart around Mother’s day and when I saw this I had to get it as it fits me so well.I also got my mom a matching one but hers is Red and says “#1 Mom”.
“M” Keychain: I got this for my name and was just adorable. I have an M initial because it’s the letter of my first real name. (Hannah is my online pseudonym. Blue Bird Key: This adorable key goes to my back door which is the door we use the most.
Hello Kitty Key: This goes to my front door which we don’t really use so it just makes a cute decoration! Car Remote: You know the remote that locks and unlocks your car along with a panic button.
Car Keys: Of course I have a key to my car. Hand Sanitizer: And last but not least, I have my hand sanitizer from Bath and Body Works. I hate touching a lot of things in public and not washing or sanitizing my hands so I kept this baby on keys.

Now moving onto the inside of my bag:

Michael Kors Wallet: The first thing I have in here is my MK wallet -which I purchased off of Poshmark- where I hold all my cards ( Discount cards, Insurance Cards, etc) and my money. Juicy Couture Coin Wallet: The next thing I have in my bag is my coin wallet -which I got from Kohl’s- I use this to hold my loose change as I hate having to put it in my regular wallet.
Notebooks: I have two notebooks in my purse; the first one is from Juicy Couture and is covered in kisses-I use this to write down a list and just random things if I’m out. My second notebook is just a small arrow patterned one from Walmart and I keep track of appointments and spending so that I can transfer it into my planner when I come home. Cell Phone: I only keep my phone in here when I’m out (obviously) but there are times when it just never leaves my hand.

I hope you all enjoyed this post! What are some things you like to carry in your handbag?

Colourpop Haul #2

July 13, 2016 in Hauls

Hello Lovelies,

I am back with another colourpop haul! I ordered this awhile ago and it finally came and couldn’t have been more excited to try everything and to write this post. I was really excited this time because I was able to get four FREE lip glosses!

You can find a mini review on them over on my facebook!

I was only going to purchase one or two lipsticks but there were so many pretty colors, I just couldn’t choose so I ended up buying them all. (All that I liked).

I purchased the following colors: 1st Base, Koala, Midi, Donut, and Vice. Below are the swatches: (I do apologize for the bad swatches, it’s my first time doing them)

I then went and purchased some of their eyeshadows; six of them to be exact. At the time I didn’t realize that most of them were glitter which made me even more happier as I swatched them.

I got the shades: Tassel, Alchemy, Amaze, Bubbly, Eye-Candy, and Girly. You can find their swatches below:

My favorite so far is Girly and Bubbly, What’s yours?

Disclaimer: This post is in no way, shape, or form sponsored! I purchased everything with my own money and are 100% my own opinions.

I’m Still a Work In Progress

July 6, 2016 in Diary / Personal

And if I asked you to name all the things that you love, how long would it take to name yourself?

If I were to be asked such a question I don’t think I would have a proper answer. I don’t love myself and for as long as I remember, I haven’t but, I’m trying to.  This takes time, a day by day process and I will never know what to expect-I’m a work in progress and that’s okay.

It was when I moved to Pennsylvania that things started to change for the worse. Everyone or at least almost everyone knows the horrors of being the ‘new’ kid and that’s what I was, the new kid. What made things worse was the fact that everyone and I mean EVERYONE already knew each other. I have never felt more out of place than I did at that moment. I don’t know if something triggered me to start being conscious of my body but what I do know is that I was conscious of it.

Skip to 7th-grade, I got sick and missed some time from school. When I came back everyone asked me why I missed so much time from school and it felt like everyone was ganging up on me. Other than that no one spoke to me or interacted with me and I was the shy, quiet girl in the corner of the classroom.

Skip again but to the 8th-grade, there was this new guy (let’s call him T) who thought it was funny and cool to make fun of me. There was also another guy (let’s call him N) who use to touch me inappropriately and make fun of me. I ended up missing a lot of time from school because the thought of going made me physically sick. On top of that, I had two teachers who would make fun of me in front of the other students when I wasn’t there.

It’s the beginning of 9th grade and it’s a scary place (to me at least). About a two weeks into the first semester, I had my first panic attack (I didn’t know what it was at that time) but I do know that it was scary and no one cared.

In the end, I ended up becoming a hermit in my room, terrified to go outside and to places. I felt like I was too ugly, too fat , too useless to have anything nice, any friends, a life. I know some of you will probably think that’s stupid but, it’s what was going on inside my head and it makes me cry sometimes to know that I think that way.

I will admit that right now, I am a lot better than I have ever been but I still have a lot to improve on and that’s okay. I am a work in progress.

I apologize for getting personal but I really wanted to share that and needed to let it out.

Colourpop Haul & Review

July 4, 2016 in Hauls / Reviews: Beauty

I’ve finally gotten around to ordering my very first Colourpop order and have been very excited to share this will all you! If you don’t know, Colourpop is a new makeup brand that has recently become very popular amongst Bloggers, YouTubers, and all beauty lovers. They have a lovely set of color choices for all of their products with reasonable prices which I think is one of the many reasons everyone loves them. I know it’s one out of many of the reasons why I do.

The first thing I noticed when I pulled everything out was this adorable handwritten note. I mean, isn’t this the cutest thing you ever did see? I also love that they give everyone a different quote and not just the same one.

Flutes, Belladonna Lily, Wattles

I purchase three eyeshadows which are in the shades: Wattles, Flutes, and Belladonna Lily.  Wattles and Flutes are both of a brown-bronze shade while Belladonna Lily is a teal-blueish shade-all very beautiful colors!

The texture of these eyeshadows are way beyond amazing; they’re extremely soft, velvet like which I have never had an eyeshadow this freaking soft before so it’s great! I think the pigment is decent but depending on the look you may need to build so, what I personally did was I first applied with my fingers then added a bit with a brush and it ended up just the way I was hoping it to. Blending. They blend very easily but I did feel like I had to apply a little more after but, that’s just me.

For $5.00 I think these products are beyond amazing and I will definitely be ordering more once I get more $$$.

I also purchased three lipsticks and let me just say Best. Lipstick. Ever.

They go on so easily and feel so soft when applying; I also feel like the dry pretty quickly compared to the other matte lipsticks that I own. They last a long time and even when it starts to ‘fade’ it doesn’t fully go away; it’s as if it leaves a slight tint to the lips and I absolutely adore it.  If you’re curious about transfer-it does transfer a small amount and very lightly.  The only thing I’m disappointed in is the fact that I got all three in shades that are very close together but, that’s all on me.

The shades I decided to pick up were: Clueless, Bianca, and Spritz.

For my next purchase I currently have my eyes on:

Matte Lipstick: Midi, Donut, Chi, and Cheap Thrills

Eyeshadows: Bites, Bubbly, Eye Candy, Girly, Sugar, Tea Party, and Tassel

What have you purchased or what do you currently have YOUR eye on?
